A survey among U.S. adults in March 2022 found that the majority preferred watching video streaming apps with ads for a lower price over ad-free streaming for a higher price. The share of consumers using linear TV only were the most likely to say they would rather see ads and pay less. Roughly two-thirds of only-connected TV users revealed the same.
