As of 2022, the total number of the hospitals in Turkey reached 1,555 including the public, private, and university hospitals, which indicated an increase of eight hospitals compared to the previous year. The country's biggest and most populous city, Istanbul, had 234 hospitals, while in Bayburt only one hospital was recorded.
