The volume of freely allocated EU-ETS allowances was 537 MtCO₂e that year. Stationary installations include installations such as power plants, refineries, and industrial factories.
The EU-ETS is a carbon credit market used to mitigate climate change, and one of the tools to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
