Estonian households were estimated to experience the largest burden of energy price growth on their spending among presented Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries in 2022, at over 19 percent of the annual consumption. Czechia ranked second, as higher energy prices were expected to directly result in an almost nine percent burden to household consumption. Furthermore, an increase in prices of other commodities due to the energy price increase would bring an over three percent burden to Czech households.
