In April 2020, a survey was conducted among marketers with decision-making authority in the United States from four different industries to find out about their marketing objectives with direct mail. Purchase turned out to be the leading objective for direct marketing used by retail and travel marketers - with 76 percent of respondents and 64 percent, respectively, choosing it as their main goal.
