The largest share of merger and acquisition (M&A) deals in Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries were inbound with investors coming from outside the region, at 50 percent in 2022. Less than 40 percent of the deals were domestic, with investors from the respective country. This share saw a five percent decrease from the previous year.
