During a 2022 survey carried out in the United Kingdom and in the United States, 74 percent of respondents stated they were concerned about brands being able to view and track their online behavior to target them with advertising. Slightly ore than a quarter said that they completely understood how their personal data is used by brands and companies to target them with advertising online.
