A survey conducted in mainland China in March of 2022 revealed that 85 percent of those respondents who said that their job could be done remotely preferred hybrid working (both from home and the workplace) in the future, specifically, the beginning of 2023. Same proportion of respondents chose hybrid working for their current situation as of March 2022.

Regarding your current job role: how would you prefer to work 12 months from now?
Among a total of 3,129 survey respondents, around 2,000 people said their work could be done remotely.
Among all survey respondents, 54 percent were male, 41 percent were female, 5 percent were others;
7 percent were between 18 and 25 years, 46 percent were between 25 and 41 years, 35 percent were between 42 and 57 years, and 11 percent were between 58 and 76 years;
79 percent of respondents did professional/administrative work, 15 percent did skilled manual work, and 6 percent did semi-skilled or unskilled manual work;
97 percent worked full time.
