A survey conducted in mainland China in March 2022 revealed that 64 percent of surveyed respondents said that their job could be done remotely. This proportion was higher than the global average of 54 percent.

Can your job be done remotely/from home?
Among 3,129 survey respondents, 54 percent were male, 41 percent were female, 5 percent were others;
7 percent were between 18 and 25 years, 46 percent were between 25 and 41 years, 35 percent were between 42 and 57 years, and 11 percent were between 58 and 76 years;
79 percent of respondents did professional/administrative work, 15 percent did skilled manual work, and 6 percent did semi-skilled or unskilled manual work;
97 percent worked full time.
