Opinion on making purchases without regret for preferences in Japan 2021, by age
Young consumers were the least likely to regret spending money on something they liked as revealed in a survey conducted in Japan in November 2021. More than 67 percent of respondents aged 20 to 29 years agreed with the statement, with the largest share, 36.6 percent, stating that it applied to an extent. In contrast, elderly people aged 70 years and older were more likely to show regret for purchases related to their personal interests and favorite topics.
