In 2022, Gyeonggi (Gyeonggi Province), South Korea paid around 21.9 trillion South Korean won in health insurance premiums. Gyeonggi and Seoul were outliers in terms of premiums paid, with all other provinces paying around four trillion won or less throughout the entire year. The total amount of health insurance premiums paid that year amounted to about 76.3 trillion won, up from 69.5 trillion won in the previous year.
