Startups in West Africa registered the highest value of early-stage funding in 2021, at 38 million U.S. dollars. Closely following each other were early-stage startups in North and East Africa, with funding amounting to 30.7 million U.S. dollars and 30.3 million U.S. dollars, respectively. Egypt and Nigeria led in terms of African countries.
