EV Readiness index in Europe by country 2022

In 2022, the countries with the highest scores on the Electric Vehicle Readiness Index were Norway and Netherlands, with 42 and 37 points, respectively. Around 64.5 percent of passenger car sales in Norway were battery-electric vehicles.

The Electric Vehicle Readiness Index represents the readiness of European countries to make the transition to electric vehicles. The index takes into consideration key factors that indicate the maturity of the EV industry in each country and their preparedness for market expansion.
