A survey held among journalists in the United States at the end of 2021 asking about changes to news organizations when it came to diversity revealed that 60.5 percent had introduced new policies on language use about communities of color. Meanwhile, just under 52 percent said that changes had been made to hiring procedures in order to encourage diversity.
