As of December 2024, indie game Stardew Valley has sold over 41 million copies across all platforms, with PC accounting for the majority of sales (26 million). Solo developed by game designer Eric Barone (alias ConcernedApe), the open-ended country life RPG was an instant smash hit and sold about one million copies after its February 2016 release. Stardew Valley's popularity has led to the game being released to multiple gaming platforms.
