Fashion executives were relatively evenly split as to whether their company's profit margin would be better in 2022 than in the previous year. A third of respondents said that their outlook for 2022 was significantly worse than in 2021.

Information on the businesses of the survey participants:
80 percent had more than 1,000 employees
10 percent had 101-999 employees
9 percent had less than 100 employees
70 percent were retailers
67 percent were importers and wholesalers
40 percent were Self-identified brands
100 percent had headquarters or management offices in the U.S.
75 percent had companies with headquarters or management offices outside the U.S.
Over 50% sold products abroad, as well as in the U.S.
