According to a survey conducted in 2023 in the United Kingdom, some 15 percent of the respondents were highly aware of the concept of "Net Zero". Another 60 percent of respondents were fairly or a little aware of the concept, whereas an 11 percent share had never heard of it. In brief, net zero refers to cutting down greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to as close to zero as possible.
