As of July 2022, 79 percent of women and 73 percent of men surveyed in the United States were in favor of legalizing abortion when the woman's health is endangered by her pregnancy. All policies that would increase access to abortion had higher support among women compared to men. On the contrary, men were equally or more likely than women to support each of the abortion-restricting policies.
