According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on online shopping behavior in India conducted in June 2022, 78 percent of male and female respondents used e-commerce marketplaces such as Shopee, Amazon, and AliExpress to shop online. In contrast, 29 percent of female consumers and 22 percent of male consumers used social commerce sites for online shopping.
