According to a survey on online shopping behavior in China conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2022, respectively 96 percent of female and male respondents who shopped online said they used e-commerce marketplaces. Meanwhile, half of the surveyed female online shoppers said they bought things via social commerce, while only 39 percent of male respondents said the same.
