Share of directors making documentaries in New Zealand 2016-2020, by gender
According to a survey, the share of women directors making documentaries was 55 percent in New Zealand in 2020. On the other hand, the share of men directors was 43 percent, indicating a slight decrease from the previous year. The share of male directors making documentary saw its peak in 2017, amounting to 66 percent in New Zealand.
