Direct employment in the tourism industry as share of GDP in Tunisia 2018-2021
In 2021, direct employment in the tourism industry in Tunisia accounted for 2.7 percent of the country's GDP. The direct employment contribution of the tourism sector as a share of GDP increased compared to the previous year, when it stood at 2.2 percent. The decline in 2020 was due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
