According to a 2023 survey, the country's own domestic market was the main target of Brazilian gaming development studios, with around 76 percent of these companies currently for the country. The United States and Latin America ranked as the second and third biggest markets for around 58 percent and 57 percent of these companies. Along with Latin America, Canada and Japan were the biggest prospective markets in the next three years for over 45 percent of responding companies. In 2023, the number of game development studios in Brazil has reached a record high of 1,042 companies, with most of these companies located in the country's Southeast region.
