According to a survey conducted in China in June of 2022, product functionality was the top factor influencing consumers buying sex toys, with 67.6 percent of respondents claiming this. The other two leading factors were "material and texture" and " buying privacy", with more than half of all respondents considering them when shopping for sex toys and other sex-related products.
