In 2021, Dream sports received an investment of 92 billion Indian rupees from foreign investors like Falcon Edge, D1 Capital and Redbird Capital. In comparison, Mobile Premier League(MPL) had an investment of about 18 billion Indian rupees in the same year. Fantasy sports providers saw an increase in investments with the growth in registered fantasy sports user base in India.
