As of June 2022, around 23 countries worldwide had treaties in place to protect oil and gas projects with a production between one and five million barrels per day. At that same time, seven countries, such as Russia, Venezuela, Guyana, Egypt, Mozambique, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates had an oil and gas treaty protecting a production larger than five million barrels per day.
