The United Kingdom is expected to account for the greatest number of oil and gas well decommissions in the North Sea. Between 2023 and 2032, the UK is forecast to dismantle 2,164 oil and gas wells in the North Sea and parts of the Irish Sea. This translates into roughly 74 percent of all decommissioning activity in the North Sea.
