Consumer support for transport tax relief package renewal in Germany 2022
In June 1, 2022, the German federal government launched a series of tax relief measures for three months, including discounts on motor fuels and a 9-euro ticket for nationwide local and regional transports. Around 63 percent of German respondents were in favor of the 9-euro ticket program extension. In contrast, 56 percent supported the extension of tank discounts.
