In 2023, the number of persons going on domestic overnight business trips in Japan amounted to about 8.92 million, while there were 5.81 million people who went on same-day business trips, the fourth-lowest number of the past decade. However, these figures mark a significant recovery, considering that the previous two years were heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
