Market value of Indian Super League 2024, by club

In the tenth season of the Indian Super League, Mohun Bagan Super Gaint recorded a market value of 602 million Indian rupees, the highest in the 2023-2024 season. Kerala Blasters FC ranked second that year. The ISL was valued at nearly 4.3 billion rupees that season.

Football in India

The national men’s team is a strong contender in the AFC Asian Cup, winning eight times since its initiation in 1993. Domestically, the Indian Super League was the most popular football league for men, with teams consisting of players from all over the world.

Indian Super League

The ISL began in 2014 and was later recognized by the Asian Football Association as a national football league. With Hero MotoCorp as its title sponsor since 2014, the league is organized jointly by the All India Football Federation and Football Sports Development Limited. The regular season of the ISL runs from October to February every year, with teams that play well qualifying for the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup. The champions from the eighth season in 2021 and 2022 were Hyderabad FC defeating Kerala Blasters in the final.
It is the top-tier league in the country and structured similar to the Indian Premier League (cricket) – the most popular sporting event in the country. For comparison, the IPL’s market value in 2021 was about 384 billion rupees, almost 100 times the value of the ISL.
