According to a report conducted in the United Kingdom in 2020, Twitter was the social media platform on which women received the most abuse, with 60 percent of Black and marginalized respondents and 64 percent of white respondents saying it was the source of their online harassment. Overall, almost half of all women asked stated that they had experienced online abuse on Facebook. Black and minoritized women were almost twice as likely as white women to be targeted on WhatsApp.
