Gross revenue of Chinese companies' construction projects in Africa 2021, by country
In 2021, Nigeria and Algeria registered the highest gross revenues for Chinese companies' construction projects in Africa. These were in an approximate amount of 4.1 billion U.S. dollars and 3.8 billion U.S. dollars, respectively. On the other hand, countries such as Seychelles, Eritrea, and Sao Tome & Principe recorded some of the lowest gross revenues in the continent. Overall, nearly 94 thousand people of Chinese nationality worked under contracted projects and in labor services in Africa as of 2021.
