In 2021, there were around 8,300 Chinese workers in Nigeria. Compared to the previous year reviewed, this was a decrease. In 2019, a peak of nearly 12,200 Chinese employees was registered in the country. Overall, nearly 94,000 people of Chinese nationality worked under contracted projects and in labor services in Africa as of 2021.
