Natural gas consumption breakdown in Spain 2023, by sector

In 2023, the industrial sector was the one with the highest share of natural gas consumption in Spain, accounting for over 50 percent of the natural gas consumption in the country. The electricity sector ranked second that year, representing nearly 30 percent of Spain's consumption of natural gas. By contrast, LNG trucks accounted for only 3.5 percent of the total consumption in 2023.
