According to a survey about sustainable consumption conducted by Rakuten Insight in Hong Kong in December 2023, around 73 percent of respondents said that when it came to sustainable shopping practices they adopted in the past one year, they reduced the use of single-use plastic such as plastic shopping bags or straws. In addition, 51 percent stated that they recycled or upcycled old items they owned.
