No country has a greater thermal coal supply than China. In 2020, China's had a thermal coal supply of 3.57 billion short tons, an amount that is forecast to decrease to 3.38 billion short tons by 2050. Meanwhile, the United States was the leading supplier of thermal coal in the OEDC region.
