According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in February 2022, making sustainable and environmentally-friendly products more affordable was the leading incentive to adopt sustainable consumption practices for 36 percent of female respondents. In contrast, men were split between the possibility of repairing broken products and the affordability of sustainable products as main incentives.
