Share of Canadians who can't keep up with the cost of living 2022, by province
When interviewed in February 2022, more than half of Canadians (53 percent) reported being unable to cope with the cost of living. This proportion was highest among people living in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Atlantic Provinces (59 percent). In contrast, only two people out of five in Quebec reported such difficulties.
