Rail transport mobility in Germany has been positively impacted by the launch of the 9-euro-ticket in June 2022. That month, the use of rail transport grew by at least 31 percent on Wednesdays and up to 83 percent on Saturdays compared to the country's 2019 mobility. Wednesdays a month earlier, in May 2022, recorded a drop in rail transport use compared to 2019. This highlights the popularity of the 9-euro-ticket among rail and public transport users.
