On the model of the #Metoo movement, which initiated a wave of testimonies from women denouncing sexual assault and harassment from 2017 onwards, following the revelations about the American producer Harvey Weinstein, the hashtag #Metooincest generated a proliferation of testimonies from victims of incest on social networks.
When asked about this issue at the end of 2021, the French were relatively unanimous about the fact that this hashtag had a positive impact on the consideration of the child victims of incest.
