By the end of 2021, the number of bank employees in junior positions in Nigeria amounted to around 3.5 thousand. Compared to the previous years studied, this was a decrease in staff numbers. For instance, in 2017, junior staff in banking institutions in the country added up to roughly 41.3 thousand individuals. Overall, as of the fourth quarter of 2021, the total banking employees in Nigeria reached over 93,000.
