At the end of March 2022, approximately three-quarters of surveyed consumers from around the world said they had experienced issues with product availability in physical grocery stores and supermarkets in the past three months. About half of survey respondents also said products they wanted had been unavailable on online grocery platforms during that time.

* Interviews were completed in a total of 16 countries.
Approximately 1,000 interviews were completed in each of the following markets: UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, U.S., Brazil, Australia, Japan, Korea, China, and Mexico.
Approximately 500 interviews were completed in each of these markets: Singapore, UAE, New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia.
The source also states that the data has been weighted by age, gender, and region to be Census representative in all markets (except in UAE, where regions had not been weighted). In France, the data was also weighted to reflect social grade.
