As of the second quarter of 2023, the First City Monument Bank Plc was the main bank facilitating capital imported into Nigeria. The financial institution accounted for around 323 million U.S. dollars of the investment capital that quarter, followed by Citibank Nigeria Limited with some 188 million U.S. dollars. In 2021, a total capital importation of 6.7 billion U.S. dollars was registered in the country.
