A survey conducted in Brazil in January 2023 showed that respondents who had completed their education were more tolerant of same-sex marriage. About six out of ten respondents in this group were in favor of gay marriage. The percentage dropped to 40 percent among respondents whose highest level of education was elementary school, while a quarter of them were unsure of their position. Regarding age group, those between 25 to 44 ears old were the most likely to be in favor of same-sex marriage.
