Use of healthcare services by people diagnosed with a rare disorder New Zealand 2021

In a survey conducted amongst people living with a rare disorder in New Zealand in 2021, over 80 percent of respondents indicated seeing a specialist or general practitioner in the 70 days preceding the survey. Over a third of respondents had been in hospital at some point during the year prior to the survey, and six percent of respondents had been in an intensive care unit.
