The travel price index (TPI) published by the U.S. Travel Association includes data on the monthly changes in the consumer price index (CPI) of travel and tourism services in the United States. According to the study, food away from home was the TPI's component which reported the highest increase in September 2024, with a 3.9 percent change over the previous year. Overall, the travel price index in the U.S. declined by 1.3 percent compared to September 2023.
