In the second half of 2023, the majority of spam content removed from Reddit was flagged by automation, with only 2.1 percent of the content presenting this type of community violation reported by users. Reddit automation was also beneficial in removing other content manipulation, with 96.2 percent of this content removed after being flagged by automation. By comparison, content presenting personally identifiable information and impersonation violations were primarily signaled via user reports.
