A survey conducted between January and February 2023 in South Africa concluded that SABC News had the highest weekly reach among TV, radio, and print media in the country. Around 52 percent of respondents consumed news through the TV channel. Moreover, eNCA (eNews Channel Africa) ranked second, following with a 48 percent weekly reach.

The source explains that the data is based on online news users in South Africa who are English speaking, more affluent, have attained higher formal education levels, and have higher probabilities to live in cities than the rest of the South African population.
