Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder common among children and adolescents. In the Italian region of Lombardy, around 39 percent of ADHD patients between 2011 and 2021 were also diagnosed with a learning disorder. Other common comorbidities were sleeping disorder and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). The sample consists of children and adolescents who were diagnosed with ADHD with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and were recorded in the Italian Lombardy Attention Deficit Hyperactive Register.
