In 2021, over two thousand merger and acquisitions deals were made in the digital media sector worldwide. The largest number of transactions was recorded in the third quarter of that year, at 606, however, their cumulative value stood at 123 billion dollars, whereas the largest value was reached a quarter earlier, at 135.6 billion dollars.
